National Essay Painting & Quiz Competitions 2021

Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India, is committed to making oil conservation a National Movement. As a part of its mandate, various literary and cultural events are conducted for school students.

The Essay writing, Painting, and Quiz competitions aim to raise awareness among youth about practical conservation tips for the conservation of Petroleum products in industrial, transport, agriculture and domestic sector, and how to practice such tips in their daily lives.

• PCRA is conducting an essay writing and painting competition for classes 5-10.
• The Theme of the contest is “Oil Conservation towards Healthy and better Environment”.
• PCRA has requested that kindly share the same with students of schools so that all the students participate in the competition.
• PCRA requests the schools to send the best 2 entries in each category, ie; Painting Junior (Class 5-7), Painting Senior( Class 8-10) and Essay Writing( Class 7-10) through a scanned copy or a photocopy so the same can be uploaded in city round contest. 

Painting & Essay Writing competitions are being conducted for school children to promote awareness on Conservation of Petroleum Products and Practical Conservation tips for the conservation of Petroleum products in industrial, transport agricultural and domestic sectors for better future of environment & health.

The winners of this National level competition will be awarded attractive Prizes, including Trip to Japan, Laptop and Cash Prizes worth 2.5 Crores.

Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) is a registered society set up under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India would undertake a month-long mass awareness drive, called ‘SAKSHAM’ seeking citizens to participate in fuel conservation for health & environment protection through state-owned oil & gas companies like HPCL. As part of SAKSHAM 2020 celebrations, we seek permission to organize painting & Essay Competitions for students of your school. The details of the proposed programs are detailed below:

Painting Competition(Juniors 5,6,7& Seniors 8,9,10)	Topic – “Oil Conservation towards Healthy and better Environment”.Minimum participation  – 250 students
Essay Competition (Seniors 7,8,9,10)	Topic – “Oil Conservation towards Healthy and better Environment”.Minimum participation – 250 students Language –Any of English (or) Hindi (or) Telugu (or) Urdu can be used

For effective communication, students may choose to present their ideas and messages for conserving petroleum products and reducing emission, in English, Hindi or Regional languages.

FOUR COMPETITIONS ARE BEING CONDUCTED BY PCRA

PCRA Saksham National Essay Painting & Quiz Competitions:

FOR SCHOOLS ONLY:

a. Essay

b. Painting

c. Quiz for selecting the School team and thereafter District, State and Zonal teams. Zonal teams shall participate in National Finals.

FOR INDIVIDUAL ONLY:

a. Individual Quiz for achieving Bronze, Silver or Gold Level, in which children in the prescribed age group can participate. This is a special call to your school to participate in the Saksham National Competition 2019, conducted by Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

This is an opportunity for children to participate in Quiz, Painting, and Essay writing in 23 languages. All competitions for Essay writing & Painting can be conducted by the School and the two best entries for each category in Painting, and every language in Essays can be uploaded on our portal www.pcracompetitions.org

Alternately, the school may download annexure 1 from the link of the circulars provided below, and complete and send the best two entries each in Junior & Senior category in Painting, and best two entries in each language in Essay Competition held in the school, to our office at following address: Additional Director (EC), PCRA, Sanrakshan Bhavan, 10, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi 110066.

However, the Quiz competition is available in online mode only. The school should register for the competitions and for Quiz they can upload the details of all children, after which, the children can take the Quiz online. The Quiz competition is going to be a major event with a number of episodes being telecast on major TV channels.

The prizes for all categories are excellent with Trip to Singapore, Laptops and Cash awards are given by the Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and an array of prizes at various levels.
